COUN 110: Introduction to Career, Education 和 Life Planning (3 units)

An introduction to career planning. Exploration of academic, personal 和 career goals through assessment of personality, interest, values, 和 talents toward completion of a comprehensive career 和 educational plan for first time career seekers. 分析 of desired lifestyle 和 work, decision making, 和 goal achievement will be addressed. Exploration of the sociological, physiological, 和 psychological needs in identifying 和 planning a major 和 career plan. Focus on the career planning process 和 the development of a career portfolio that demonstrates knowledge of career decision making, planning 和 job search strategies.
COUN 111: Career Transition 和 Educational Planning (3 units)

Designed for the transitional college student changing careers due to loss of job, change of career path, work-life balance, including veterans. Identify academic, personal 和 career goals through assessment of personality, interest, values, talents, 和 transferable skills to develop a career 和 educational plan. Assessment of psychological, physiological, sociological needs in transitioning to a new career; including stress, anxiety, self-confidence, positive motivation, coping with unemployment or change in career needs, 和 finding satisfying work will be addressed. 期望分析 lifestyle 和 work environments, decision making, overcoming obstacles, 和 identifying 职业安全. Designed to respond to the need to underst和 和 manage personal stress as it relates to the college student. Examination of personal wellness development 和 the roles of stress 和 stress management.
COUN 130: Life Transitions 和 the Transfer Experience (2 units)

An examination of the transfer experience as a context in which to develop life-long skills of problem solving, goal setting, planning 和 decision making. 发展 of strategies to establish educational 和 career goals necessary to transition from the community college to the four-year institution.
